In order to initially apply for a Tier 2 Sponsor Licence, you must have a qualifying candidate. You cannot apply for a Tier 2 Licence without demonstrating to the Home Office that your company has identified a need for one. For most companies, this might be considered the most critical stage of the application process.
Qualifying candidate sponsorship is broken down into 4 main areas:
- We determine the most appropriate Job Coding in accordance with the Office of National Statistics (ONS) and ensure your supporting documents are compliant with established occupation categorisations and the Genuineness Test. It is crucial to identify any issues at this initial stage.
- Resident Labour Market Test – To ensure the candidate isn’t displacing a UK resident worker and protect the value of our domestic labour market.
- Restricted Certificate of Sponsorship Request – Representing an application to the Home Office for a restricted Certificate of Sponsorship.
- Assignment of Certificate of Sponsorship – In order to manage this part we must be appointed a Level 1 User in order to assign any allocated Certificates of Sponsorship.
